    Size: 40 cassettes

    Method: Procedure: immunochromatography
Principle: Allow the cassette and the sample to reach to the room temperature prior to use. First, open the cassette’s pouch, put the cassette on a flat surface and mark appropriately. Use a micropipette to take 100uL sample of serum or plasma sample and put the sample directly into each sample wells (S) of the cassette. Wait for 20 to 25 minutes to observe the final result; the result after 25 minutes is invalid.

    Product characteristics:
    1.       TORCH 5 in 1 test kit is used for qualitative purpose only.
    2.       This kit is only suitable for testing human serum or plasma samples
    3.       IgM may not be shown or existed with low titer during the early infection stage period so a false negative result may be shown; therefore, patients should undergo re-examinations within 7 to 14 days.  The re-examinations should also be performed in parallel with the original collected sample in order to confirm the presence of seroconversion or obvious increase of the titer.
    4.       The reference value for serum antibody test is limited for patients with immunologic function defects or under the treatment of immunosuppression.
    5.       A IgM antibody positive result is not only shown during the primary infection but also shown during the secondary infection.
The test result is for reference purposes only and is not intend for final diagnosis.  A negative result is not a guarantee of infection free as the antibody level in the sample may be lower than the test sensitivity level.  A doubtful negative result is recommended to be re-examined by other methods that have higher sensitivities. A positive result should also undergo re-examinations with other methods to confirm the result. Positive result should be evaluated in relation with the clinical conditions before arriving at a final diagnostic conclusion.
