This kit uses PCR and multi-beads technologies with PCR primers and hybridization probes that designed to target the mutation hot spots of Thalassemia. PCR amplification includes two parts: a. 20 mutation positions, which covers 3 α and 17 β mutation positions; b. deletions: 3 deletion types and 1 normal control. Uses PCR to obtained labeled PCR
amplicons. Wild-type probe for mutation detections (N), mutation probe (M), deletion probe SEA, deletion probe 3.7, deletion probe 4.2 and wild-type internal reference probe a2 cross-link with
micro-beads. Labeled PCR amplicons hybridize with micro-beads, and add chromogenic agents prior to test in the instrument. Determination of the test result is based on the signal levels of the wild-type and mutation (deletion) probes.
